Orri

Season: It is available from the end of January until April.

Orri is an induced mutation of Orah mandarin from Israel.

The fruit is quite big. Its shape is oblate, flat although fairly round compared to Nadorcott. There is little or no ribbing at the stem-end of the fruit. At maturity, the rind colour is orange.

It has an easy peeling, but it leaves oil residue on one’s hands. The flavour includes high sugars and moderate to low acidity, resulting in a well-balanced ratio and sweet flavour.

FEATURE 1

It’s a late variety.

FEATURE 2

Innovative tangerine in the market with very particular taste, almost free of acid.
